The Tea Party

For my ladies 40th birthday I threw her a tea party. Thanks to Krista for the help and supplies and my mom for the beautiful flowers the party turned out well.

This was a first for me. I know it's hard to believe but I've never thrown a tea party before yesterday. I did some reading on the web for hints to what needs to happen to have a successful tea party and the reading paid off.

The teas served were: Precious White Peach, Matevana & Rooibos Chai, Jasmine Dragon Pearls for the hot teas and Southern Sweet Tea for the cold tea.

The foods served were: cucumber sandwiches, avocado/tomato/mozzarella English muffins served hot, Russian Tea Cookies (by Krista), chocolate chip cookies, Skittles, and Dove chocolates. For the cake I made lemon cake with strawberry-vanilla frosting topped with crushed white chocolate crumbs.

The Hill

Yesterday I was on "The Hill", today I am over it.

Yes, as of yesterday I am 40. The big four oh. Old. Decrepid. However you want to put it.

All is good.

Thank you everyone who took the time to celebrate with me. I had a blast.

To those that fear 40 you have nothing to worry about, it's not that bad. I barely feel a day over 39.9972.

Thank you Christopher Nolan for the cool Batman movie. Sadly Heath won't be reprising his brilliant role.

Wind, Rain, Sand and Good Friends

Yesterday we went to Gearhart to celebrate a couple of birthdays and just to have fun. Happy Birthday Anthony. Happy Birthday Me.

We had wind, rain, and blowing sand. If it wasn't for the fact that we were with friends we would have turned right around. With a borrowed tent, some tarps, and a hot fire we made the best of it. It turned out to be fun. Here are some photos of the grand event.
